•Completely unrelated, but rather nice sunset picture• A couple of weeks back I announced over on Twitter that Cosmic Kick would be moving from Blogger to WordPress, and after slightly longer than expected down time, we’re back! This period is the longest I have ever been without my blog, and seeing the words “Error establishingContinue reading
It’s International Women’s Day! The day women across the globe celebrate each others achievements and continue to show support by empowering one another to believe in ourselves and become the best we can be. To celebrate, I’ve compiled a list of some of the women who inspire me (I could of gone on all dayContinue reading
I’ve had my browser open for hours trying to come up with a sensible tribute to Leonard Nimoy, but every time I approach the keyboard, all that comes out is “I’m Crushed.”, “I’m so sad”, “Noooo”. Writing this post is tough. Never before have I been so affected by the death of someone I’ve neverContinue reading
How was your January? Rainy and wet? Of course it was! Unless you were lucky enough to have snow, in which case I’m super jealous. Apart from my awesome family trip to Bluestone Wales and a few shopping trips, January’s activities mainly involved me sitting on my butt indoors avoiding the cold. Here’s a littleContinue reading
Back in November I posted about my new found hobby, Postcrossing. Since then I’ve sent and received a few more postcards to and from around the globe. This little lot came all the way from Spain, Russia and Estonia! Once I have read them, my postcards are then blue-tacked around my desk to remind meContinue reading
I popped out to town today with the intention of, a. Picking up a bank statement. b. Buying some ceiling decorations for the living room. Neither of those things were done. I did however pick up some nice pieces for the tree. Check out these bad boys! These present shaped baubles are from Tiger andContinue reading
Have you heard of a website called Postcrossing? I hadn’t until I read this awesome post over at Dork Face a few weeks back. Postcrossing is a website for hobbyists who love sharing postcards around the globe. Inspired by the above post I decided to try it out for myself. Signing up is simple.Continue reading
Snog Frozen Yogurt big double decker pink bus. It’s been a bit quiet around here for the past few weeks. I’d love to tell you that I’ve been on a last minute trip around the world or something similarly spectacular but the truth is I’ve been sick. How boring! I’ve been sleeping 12 hours aContinue reading
No news this week. Why?** Because I’m the same weight as last week, again! I feel lighter and I can see my shape changing. I can work out longer without wanting to die now (I hit 90 min’s of non stop dancing, which may not sound hardcore to some, but for me that would normallyContinue reading
Just a quick post. My garden has become a bee paradise over the past few days. I took my camera out there earlier (with the good lens attached). Check out how cute these little guys are!

Different Creatures | Circa Waves: An upbeat but powerful album filled with thunderous bass guitar riffs and pounding drums that'll make you want to jump up and dance. Different Creatures has filled the indie-shaped hole in my music collection. It's the kind of album you need for the morning commute to a job you hate. I'm having trouble listening to this album at a sensible volume (Track 6 in particular). Not great news for my tinnitus :/
"Over the years, I've spent a worrying amount of time consuming science documentaries, lectures and podcasts on YouTube. Some lessons stick in my brain easier than others, but I've always struggled with the quantum world. I decided to knuckle down and learn the very basics of quantum gravity with Rovelli's book - written for those who (like me!) may not have a scientific education - to gain a solid understanding what science says reality is made of.
