Want to know who to subscribe to on YouTube? Then you should really keep an eye out for my YouTube Watch posts. Look, here’s one now… There’s some real crap on the radio these days. In truth there always has been, but here in the 21st century we don’t have to listen to that stuff.Continue reading
Considering that 85% of my waking life is spent with YouTube videos playing in the background (right now I’m listing to 10 Hrs of Celestial White Noise from the RelaxingWhiteNoise channel to drown out this damn tinnitus!) I was surprised I hadn’t found this channel sooner. ReserveChannel is full of one off interviews with someContinue reading
Did anyone watch the Grammy Awards last night? I did! Usually not my type of thing, but I heard that Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor AND Josh Homme were all performing together, and as I’d over dosed on coffee staying up all night seemed like a good idea. After waiting through Cydie Lauper’s half arsed attemptContinue reading
Today is the most important day of the year. It’s @SirPatStew’s Birthday. To celebrate let’s take a look at some of his best Tweets from the past 12 months, because viewing photo’s of Patrick Stewart are the best way to celebrate pretty much anything! Well, this is my new favorite YouTube beauty video! Uploaded on the ever-fascinating channel VideosFromSpace, NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg teaches us how to wash our hair onboard the ISS.
It’s a simple idea. Watch music video’s with the sound muted and try to decipher what the artist is warbling about by reading their lips. Different Creatures | Circa Waves: An upbeat but powerful album filled with thunderous bass guitar riffs and pounding drums that'll make you want to jump up and dance. Different Creatures is giving me major 2005 comfy vibes and has filled the indie-shaped hole in my music collection. It's the kind of album you need for the morning commute to a job you hate. I'm having trouble listening to this album at a sensible volume (Track 6 in particular). Not great news for my tinnitus :/
"Over the years, I've spent a worrying amount of time consuming science documentaries, lectures and podcasts on YouTube. Some lessons stick in my brain easier than others, but I've always struggled with the quantum world. I decided to knuckle down and learn the very basics of quantum gravity with Rovelli's book - written for those who (like me!) may not have a scientific education - to gain a solid understanding what science says reality is made of.
