Bloggers Grilled Blog Series – Craft With Cartwright
Tell me about your childhood
My childhood was different to many of my friends, I was born in Crete to British parents before living in three different countries before the age of two. Once we’d finished moving around I grew up in the wonderful countryside of Herefordshire. An idyllic place to raise children.
If you could sing one song on X Factor, what would it be?
It’s in his kiss by Cher. I think I have the husky tones to belt that out.
How would your worst enemy describe you?
Bossy, stubborn and hardheaded. It’s probably why I became a teacher.
Describe your biggest weakness. Then describe another.
My biggest weakness would be putting everyone else ahead of myself.
Another would be ….cake!
If you were a box of cereal, what would you be and why?
A gluten free box of Crunchy nut cornflakes! I would say I can be sweet and a little nutty. I’ve got to be Gluten free as I’m coeliac.
Who is your hero, and why?
My mum. She’s done a sterling job raising me and my brother.
What’s your biggest regret so far?
Not training to be a doctor.
What is your coping mechanism when you have a bad day?
Drink lots of tea. Tea solves everything.
How lucky are you and why?
I’m very lucky, I have a wonderful husband, two amazing children, a roof over my head and food in my belly.
What was the last gift you bought someone?
I bought my son the Pokemon encyclopedia, I’m going to regret it I know!
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My teeth. I’d love to get them straightened. Wisdom teeth and a drunken night ruined them in my teens.
