Instagram Catch Up: A Fox, Some Clouds and Your Mum

Flat hunting was the primary focus of my week. It started with Wayne and I viewing a tiny but perfectly positioned flat in Grangetown, Cardiff that we instantly fell in love with, but sadly some other lucky tenant ended up with the keys. Gutted!

I desperately need to get back in to the city again soon. It’s the little things I miss; 24 hour supermarkets, chicken katsu from WiWo in Canton, the flowers in Bute Park on a sunny day, IMAX cinema screens, coffee shops, Cadwaladers ice cream sundaes in Cardiff Bay. I know I bitched and complained about you Cardiff, but I’m fickle, and I’m sorry. Take me back!

Anyhoo, here’s a little of what’s been happening on my Instagram.

With the success of Pokémon Go and the ability to “lure” players to a real world places, it’s only natural that businesses are using the app to gain more customers, but I didn’t expect to see this on the gates of St Johns in Cardiff city centre. Would Jesus be down with Anime? Him and the disciples would totally be on Team Mystic.

The sky looked intense over the weekend! I hope you had fun whatever you got up to. #cloudporn

I wish I’d had my DSLR camera with me on Monday; the sky was so beautiful. It looked like a painting. In this shot the clouds had formed a single hole for the sun to shine through. Ripply goodness.

Mum lives on the fourth floor of her building. Every night, if you peak over the balcony you’ll see this cutie waiting patiently for your leftovers. Adorable!

The edgiest of British thug life. This was spotted on a factory wall on Taff Embankment when I was speaking to my Mum on the phone. Spookyyy o_o

The driest place in the park ☔💧

Wayne and I got stuck in rain on Thursday during an evening stroll. We hid beneath the branches of this huge tree and waited for the clouds to pass. It was so cosy under there! The oldies playing bowls on the green weren’t stopping for no storm though. Hardcore!

Scratched and marked but I can’t bring myself to chuck them. #sky #clouds #sunglasses

I got these kitsch Lulu Guiness sunglasses in TK Maxx about 8 years ago for a steal. The arms were once fishnet clad legs, but over the years the paint has rubbed off. They’ve been dropped and scratched, but I love them way too much to chuck them out!

Ruined daps.

Dorothy Perkins Curve Fly Front Jeggings – £25

Gola Trainers at ASOS – £26

Muddy grass + rain = ruined trainers! The result of another evening stroll. So glad I didn’t buy the white pair.

I was sent a couple of products to try out from Skin Chemists earlier in the week. My verdict will be up on the blog later next week, but in the meantime if you fancy giving the range a try, you can pick up the night moisturiser over at TK Maxx for just £26! Btw, the cute nail colour is Slumber Party by Lottie London and you can grab that baby from Superdrug.
