Handmade Tree Decorations on Etsy.

Today I want to show some festive love for the small businesses on Etsy. December is the biggest time of the year for most retail businesses, but amid the Christmas rush small businesses can be overlooked as large businesses are able to garner more attention on the highstreet, TV and social media. So with that in mind, and inspired by yesterdays Christmas tree decorations post, I’ve scoured Etsy to find some beautiful and unique hand made items to adorn your trees. Be sure to click the images for a closer look.

Based in Stourbridge, England, home of glassblowing for more than 400 years, Corrina, teacher of yoga and owner of SkyDancerJewellery hand blows these incredible glass baubles. They come in various colours, my favourite being the pink and vanilla options pictured above. The pastel, slightly pearlescent colours remind me of French Fancies! Each bauble costs £10.95 each and would make a beautiful, keep sake gift for someone special.

London based Illustrator Lizzy, owner of LizzysStudio, creates these charming robin tree ornaments from wood. The wood is laser cut and then decorated with either red glitter or bright red paint. The robins are available to buy for £3.50 each or in packs of 3 for £9.00 and also come in the form of an adorable brooch!

California based computer scientist and artist Kristin creates art pieces that are inspired by her work with chemistry. These bright and different Christmas tree baubles are marbled with layers of paint and they even glow in the dark! Although her work is inspired by the atomic world they remind me of planets with swirling atmospheres. I absolutely adore the orange bauble! Kristins Etsy store is called Art Atomic and her baubles cost £9.80 each or £84.97 for a set of 10.

London based Etsy seller Laura owns SillyMooseDesigns. A store that is just over a month old and is already filling up with goodies! This set of 4 ceramic star shaped tree decorations are made from white earthenware clay, glazed with varnish and finished with red ribbon ready for hanging. The set costs £7.85. Also check out Laura’s ceramic Christmas trees here!

Are you an Etsy seller selling interesting Christmas goodies? Feel free to link them in the comments section (be sure to keep it festive).

  • Love those stars! I wonder if she can do them in grey and white, thats what colour scheme I am having this year.

    • Oooh, grey and white? Nice choice! You can get in touch with Laura via the link in the post. 🙂

  • I am a fan of the birds big time but do also like the colours of the stars. Nice finds.

    • They’re so pretty! A simple, modern design in traditional colours.

  • Hi Elaine, it’s Laura at Silly Moose Crafts here. I’m thrilled you like my stars, however unfortunately I don’t have access to the kiln between now and Christmas so I can’t make any more ceramic items this year. If you are interested in anything in polymer clay (that doesn’t require kiln firing) then I can certainly looking into creating something in your grey and white colour scheme.
