One of my favourite trends this season is the khaki look. I’m a practical kinda gal, so what better time to don a utility jacket and military pants than festival season? You’re going to need that extra pocket space. Here are some super stylish ways you can wear the Utility Chic without going full Steve Irwin!
A glam parka is a must-have this season, and you could do a lot worse than Top Shop’s Casual Padded Parka Jacket (£75.00). A simple design that looks super cool on. Slightly oversized giving a laid back vibe.
River Island has loads of khaki in this season. It was hard choosing just one for this wish list, but I settled with their Khaki Patent Mini Satchel Bag, because at £20.00 this is an absolute steal! It’s smaller than the bags I normally carry, but I can’t resist the gold-on-khaki buckles.
Chanel has the most perfect nail polish shade in their LE VERNIS range in the form of Alchime (591). Gah! How perfect is that shimmery green. I need this in my life. It’s currently sold out in the UK but you can order it from the US for $27.
Earthy colours look great on all skin tones, so Dior’s 5 Couleurs Eye Shadow Palette in Khaki (£43.00) is sure to suit everyone. The palette contains five shades – Base, Colour, Shade, Shine and Liner – that blend together for the perfect camo eye. This is the next beauty item on my shopping list!
House of Fraser has a brilliant range of khaki denim in this season. My favourite are J Brand’s Ginger Skinny Pleated Knee Detail Jean in Jungle (£230). A beautifully flattering fit. Team these with a pair of gold high heel sandals to finish off the look.
This laid back Khaki Zip Sleeveless Shirt from Wallis is perfect for lazy summer days. The gathered detailing on the shoulders and back give an effortless-cool look. So easy to wear!
